Getting the float ready for hayle summer carnival 2007
Sea, Sun. Surf and Samba
Everybody put a lot of effort into making the float one of the best. Val and Judith made jellyfish, silver fishes, crabs, shells and shark fins(!) for dressing the float. Joy did the sides which were covered in blue, yellow and white material that made up the theme of sand, sea and surf and Hayle Samba banners in blue and yellow for the middle of the trailer. Richard and Sally painted a large mermaid and Neptune for the sides nearest the back. Frank put up the bunting and the banner for the back of the float. Everyone was encouraged to find buckets, spades, fishing nets, bathing costumes and a beach towel was casually thrown over one side! A gold backdrop for the inside rear was put up by Frank and co.
